Fakturoid vs iDoklad: Which Czech Invoicing App Fits You?

Anton

Short answer: Fakturoid is the better pick for most solo freelancers, especially if clients pay you by bank transfer and you want tax help on a cheap plan. iDoklad is the better pick for small teams, for anyone who issues sales receipts (prodejky), and for businesses whose accountant runs Money S3.

Disclosure: I build MoneySky, which appears in one short section near the end. Everything before it is about Fakturoid and iDoklad only.

Plans and prices side by side

Both have a free plan and three paid tiers. Fakturoid's annual billing gives you one month free, and iDoklad also offers quarterly billing.

PlanMonthly billingAnnual billing, per monthUsers included
Fakturoid Zdarma0 Kč0 Kč1
Fakturoid Na lehko164 Kč151 Kč1 + accountant
Fakturoid Na každý den231 Kč211 Kč1 + accountant
Fakturoid Na maximum429 Kč393 Kč1 + accountant
iDoklad Zdarma0 Kč0 Kč1
iDoklad Základní240 Kč187 Kč2
iDoklad Oblíbený430 Kč358 Kč5
iDoklad Prémiový750 Kč625 Kč9

Prices excluding VAT as listed on the providers' websites in October 2026. Check their pricing pages before you decide.

iDoklad's quarterly prices sit in between (220, 397 and 703 Kč). Both pricing pages put billing periods on toggles, so confirm the exact figure for your billing period on the Fakturoid plan comparison and the iDoklad pricing page.

Free plans and trials

  • Fakturoid Zdarma: up to 5 clients, one user, all invoice designs. No expense tracking and no payment reminders.

  • iDoklad Zdarma: 5 contacts in the address book, one user, 3 free AI document extractions.

  • Trials: Fakturoid gives you 30 days of Na maximum. iDoklad gives you 60 days of Prémiový without a card.

Discounts

Fakturoid is more generous to new businesses. If your IČO is younger than 12 months, you get 50% off the first annual invoice on any paid plan (not combinable with the annual discount). MONETA and KB clients get two months off annual billing, and MONETA extends the new-business discount to an IČO up to two years old.

I found no new-business discount at iDoklad. It offers 50% off the first subscription with a code from an accountant in its "iDoklad pozitivní účetní" programme, 30% for Money S3 users with paid updates, and 50% off annual plans for nonprofits.

Users

Fakturoid's paid plans include one user plus an accountant. Extra users cost around 99 Kč a month each. iDoklad includes 2, 5 or 9 users depending on the plan. For a team of five, iDoklad Oblíbený is clearly cheaper than Fakturoid with four extra seats.

Bank payment matching

Both tools match incoming payments mainly through bank e-mail notifications, not PSD2 open banking: your bank e-mails each incoming payment and the app pairs it with the invoice.

Fakturoid matches from Na každý den (one account) and across several accounts on Na maximum. Supported Czech banks: Fio, KB, Air Bank, ČS, ČSOB, Raiffeisenbank, MONETA, UniCredit, Creditas and Citfin (incoming only). Slovak: ČSOB, Fio, SLSP and Tatra banka. Fio clients can also use the Fio API, which pulls transactions hourly on Na každý den and Na maximum (activated on request).

iDoklad matches from Oblíbený. Supported Czech banks: Air Bank, ČS, ČSOB, Fio, KB, MONETA, Raiffeisenbank and UniCredit. Slovak: ČSOB, Fio, SLSP, Tatra banka and VÚB.

Neither supports mBank. Automatic matching starts at 231 Kč a month with Fakturoid and 430 Kč with iDoklad.

Tax outputs

Fakturoid gives a lot of tax help on its cheap plans. From Na lehko you get the income tax return (DPFO) with the ČSSZ přehled included, a running calculation of social and health contributions and income tax advances, and monitoring of your paušální daň band and the VAT turnover threshold. The VAT return, kontrolní hlášení, souhrnné hlášení and OSS are Na maximum only.

iDoklad puts the VAT return and kontrolní hlášení (as files to upload to EPO) on Oblíbený and above, together with supporting data for the income tax return, including for paušální daň. Souhrnné hlášení is supported, but the pricing page does not say on which plan. OSS and the přehledy are not mentioned.

E-invoicing: ISDOC and Peppol

Fakturoid embeds ISDOC in every invoice on every plan and added Peppol UBL export in July 2026. Sending over the Peppol network is announced via a certified partner but not live yet. iDoklad's Inbox reads incoming ISDOC and ISDOCX documents automatically, without using credits. I found no mention of Peppol on the iDoklad site.

For most Czech freelancers this is not urgent: Czechia has no general B2B e-invoicing mandate. Slovakia makes Peppol e-invoicing mandatory from 1 January 2027, so it matters if you invoice Slovak clients.

EET 2.0: who it actually affects

EET 2.0 was approved in September 2026 and starts on 1 January 2027, with January as a trial period and full operation from 1 February 2027. It covers payments taken in personal contact with the customer: cash, card, QR code, vouchers and similar. Remote bank transfers, payment gateways and e-shop QR payments are not covered. Exemptions include paušální daň taxpayers in band 1 with income up to 1,000,000 Kč who pay an extra 1,400 Kč a month, and ZTP/P entrepreneurs without employees.

So a freelancer who invoices clients and gets paid by bank transfer is mostly outside EET 2.0. If you take card or cash payments in person, it matters.

Fakturoid announced EET 2.0 support on 1 October 2026 for all paid plans: you upload your EET certificate and record invoices paid by card or other in-person methods, or switch on an "EET OFF" mode. It is not live yet. For iDoklad I found no EET 2.0 announcement as of October 2026. Its pricing page still mentions registering prodejky to EET via the ProfiÚčtenka app, which refers to the old EET.

Mobile apps, API and AI

Both have iOS and Android apps. Fakturoid's API v3 uses OAuth 2.0, has official PHP and Ruby SDKs, and is available on every plan: 1,500 requests a month on Zdarma and Na lehko, 3,000 on Na každý den and 20,000 on Na maximum. iDoklad's API v3 gives 0 requests on Základní, 7,500 on Oblíbený and 75,000 on Prémiový. Both have official Make apps. iDoklad also lists ready-made connections to Shopify, WooCommerce, Raynet, Costlocker and Freelo.

On AI, Fakturoid launched an MCP server in April 2026. It is free on all plans including Zdarma and works with ChatGPT, Claude, Codex and Cursor. Its AI expense extraction (Krabice) is available from Na každý den, with 5 free extractions and then 400 Kč per 100. iDoklad launched AI Inbox in May 2026 for extracting received documents: Oblíbený and above, 3 free extractions, then 500 Kč per 100 credits. iDoklad has no official MCP server.

Accountant access and ecosystems

iDoklad belongs to Seyfor, the company behind Money S3, S4 and S5. From Základní it integrates with Money S3, S4, S5, Pohoda and Vario, and your accountant can also simply log in.

Fakturoid gives accountant access from Na lehko and exports to seven accounting programs: Pohoda, Money S3, ABRA Flexi, Ježek DUEL, EKONOM, Harmonik and Premier. It also has a webfaktura (a web page for each invoice with payment details) on all plans. A client portal with invoice history and GoPay or PayPal payments is Na maximum only. I found no client payment portal for iDoklad invoices; it offers QR Platba+F and Pay by square codes for bank transfers.

Verdict: who should choose what

Solo freelancer paid by bank transfer

Fakturoid. Na lehko gives you DPFO, the ČSSZ přehled and paušální daň monitoring for 164 Kč a month, and Na každý den adds payment matching for 231 Kč. iDoklad's cheapest plan with matching costs 430 Kč. With a new IČO, Fakturoid's 50% discount makes the first year cheaper still.

VAT payer with EU clients

Fakturoid Na maximum, because it explicitly covers the VAT return, kontrolní hlášení, souhrnné hlášení and OSS, plus Peppol UBL export. iDoklad Oblíbený is slightly cheaper on annual billing and covers the VAT return and kontrolní hlášení, but OSS is not mentioned, so check before you rely on it for EU consumer sales.

Small team

iDoklad. Five users on Oblíbený and nine on Prémiový, prodejky and quotes are included. Fakturoid charges per extra user.

Your accountant uses Money S3

iDoklad. Same vendor, direct integration from the cheapest paid plan, and 30% off if you are a Money S3 user yourself. Fakturoid exports to Money S3 too, so ask your accountant.

Developer who wants automation

Fakturoid. API on every plan, official SDKs, the Fio API connection, and a free MCP server even on the free plan.

When neither is the right tool

Fakturoid and iDoklad stop at the edge of the invoice. They do not show your personal accounts, your other banks or whether paušální výdaje or paušální daň would save you more.

That is the gap MoneySky fills. It does invoicing (ARES lookup, VIES check, any currency, reverse charge, credit notes, ISDOC and Peppol UBL download) and bank sync through PSD2 open banking with 2,686+ banks in the EU, EEA and UK, including mBank. Payments are matched against the bank feed automatically, personal and business transactions live in one place, and it compares flat-rate expenses, actual expenses and paušální daň side by side. One plan costs €7.99 a month or €79.90 a year.

What MoneySky does not have: quotes, prodejky, team seats, native mobile apps (it is a web app you can install on your phone), a webfaktura style payment portal, Peppol network sending, or a cash register for EET. It is also a younger product with a smaller user base. If you need any of those, pick Fakturoid or iDoklad. I wrote longer head-to-heads if you want the detail: MoneySky vs Fakturoid and MoneySky vs iDoklad.

FAQ

Is Fakturoid free?

Fakturoid has a free plan, Zdarma, for up to 5 clients with one user. It has no expense tracking, no reminders and no payment matching. Paid plans start at 164 Kč a month excluding VAT.

Is iDoklad free?

iDoklad's free plan allows 5 contacts in the address book and one user. Bank matching and tax outputs need Oblíbený, from 358 Kč a month on annual billing.

Which is cheaper, Fakturoid or iDoklad?

For one person, Fakturoid is cheaper for basic invoicing, payment matching and income tax help. For VAT returns on annual billing, iDoklad Oblíbený is slightly cheaper (358 vs 393 Kč). For three or more users, iDoklad usually wins because users are included.

Do Fakturoid and iDoklad work with mBank?

Neither lists mBank for automatic payment matching. You can still issue invoices, but payments have to be marked as paid by hand.

Do Fakturoid and iDoklad support EET 2.0?

Fakturoid announced EET 2.0 support for all paid plans on 1 October 2026, not yet live. I found no EET 2.0 announcement from iDoklad as of October 2026. If clients only pay by bank transfer, EET 2.0 mostly does not apply to you.
