Czech taxes

Tax figures that come from your actual transactions

MoneySky computes your Czech tax position from the invoices and bank transactions already in the system, so the numbers you file are the numbers you earned.

The regimes we model

For a sole trader, MoneySky compares the flat-rate expense bands against actual expenses and against paušální daň, and shows the resulting income tax, social and health insurance side by side.

  • Flat-rate expenses at 40, 60 and 80 percent, with the statutory caps applied
  • Actual expenses from your own transaction data
  • Paušální daň, with the tier estimated from your income. The statutory tier also depends on the type of activity.
  • Limited company: corporate income tax, director salary and dividend withholding

The VAT threshold, watched continuously

Turnover is tracked against the registration threshold per calendar year, which is how the Czech VAT Act has counted it since 2025. MoneySky warns you as you approach it rather than after you have crossed it.

Filing documents

MoneySky prepares the Czech filing documents from the same ledger, so the return, the social insurance overview and the health insurance overview agree with each other and with your bank feed.

Handing over to an accountant

If someone else files for you, export the period in an accountant-ready format. They get the underlying documents rather than a summary they have to trust.

Frequently asked questions

Which tax years are supported?
Rates are stored per year, and the calculators let you pick the year. The current year is selected by default.
Is this tax advice?
No. MoneySky applies published rates and rules to the figures you give it. It is a calculation tool, not a substitute for a tax adviser, and you remain responsible for what you file.
Can one account handle both an OSVČ and an s.r.o.?
Yes. A single account can manage several business entities, each with its own invoices, bank accounts and tax position.
What is the VAT registration threshold?
The Czech registration threshold used by the VAT monitor is 2,000,000 CZK of turnover in a calendar year. Crossing it makes you a VAT payer from 1 January of the following year, and crossing 2,536,500 CZK makes you a payer the day after. The current figure is shown on the VAT threshold tool.
