MoneySky connects to your banks through the regulated open banking interface. Access is read-only, your banking credentials are never stored by us, and every transaction lands categorised.

How the connection works

You authorise the connection in your own bank app or web banking. The bank returns a consent that lets MoneySky read accounts, balances and transactions. It never allows a payment to be initiated, and it can be revoked from your bank at any time.

Consent renewal

MoneySky requests consents that last 90 days, so a connection is renewed roughly once a quarter. MoneySky tells you before a connection lapses and renewal takes a few taps, so you do not discover a stale balance weeks later.

Categorisation that learns

Transactions are categorised on arrival. If a merchant lands in the wrong category, correct it once and add an auto-tag rule to pin that counterparty to a category permanently.

Data residency

Bank connections are provided by GoCardless Ltd, authorised by the FCA under reference 597190. Your data is stored in the EU and is never sold or used to train third-party models.
